How To Live Fearlessly
Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.” But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. – 1 Peter 3:13-15
Would you say that you’re living fearlessly for Christ? Do you live out your faith with no fear? Or do fear and anxiety seem to continually hold you back?
Sadly, many believers don't know what it means to live fearlessly. But if there is anyone who has the encouragement and the right to live fearlessly, it is believers. But what does it look like to live fearlessly? That’s exactly what we’re going to look at in today’s and tomorrow’s devotions. Today, we’re going to look at the first two aspects of living fearlessly. Then we’ll look at three more tomorrow.
The first aspect of living fearlessly for Christ is having a fearless heart. In today’s key verses, we realize that living fearlessly calls for a fearless heart. This passage is very interesting when it says, “You should not be afraid of anyone.” In fact, the Scripture says, “Do not be frightened of them.”
We are not to fear other people. Don't allow the truth of Scripture to be hidden from other people. You need to enter into the conversation and be willing to stand up for what you believe in fearlessly. Do not be afraid of what other people may think of you, even though they might defame you or say untrue things about you. Stand firm in your faith and embrace the fearlessness that is yours through the Holy Spirit.
The second aspect of living fearlessly is having a fearless voice. In verse 15, the Scripture says, “Be prepared to give an answer…Always be able to give an apology for the hope that is in us.” It’s important to note that we are not apologizing for the hope. We are not saying, “I'm so sorry that this hope is in me,” but rather we are giving a defense of what that word means. “Apologetics” means to give a defense for the hope that you have. In other words, we are to have a spoken, verbalized defense for what we believe. This is what it means to have a fearless voice.
In addition to having a fearless heart and a fearless voice, there are three other aspects of living fearlessly for Christ. I pray that you’ll come back tomorrow as we discuss those together.

I Look TO the Holy Spirit's Guidance and Strength to do God's Will. Thank You For the reminder.
