Pray About Your Anxiety
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. – 1 Peter 5:7
Yesterday, we talked about anxiety and how the root of anxiousness is a spiritual problem. But now that we’ve identified that reality, what do we do about our anxiety? How do we respond in a godly way when we’re feeling anxious and fearful?
Let me give you one big step you can take to overcome your anxiety: Practice letting go of your anxiety in prayer. In other words, take the issues you are wrapped up in and give them to the Lord in prayer. Begin to thank Him that He has it under control.
When people come to me and say they’re struggling with anxiety, I respond by asking one simple question, “Have you prayed about this?” They usually answer, “Many times.” They say they laid it on the altar before God and said, “God, you know the situation in my life. I want to give it to you right now.” But about 10 minutes later, they were coming back to the altar and saying, “God, you haven’t done anything. I will just take it back and then I will give it to you again.” Many of us go through this over and over again. We think this is a normal thing for the Christian life. But let me assure you, that is not normal.
Once we give our fears and anxieties to God, we don’t need to take them back. In fact, we shouldn’t take them back. He can handle them. He has a plan. All we need to do is trust Him.
Then in the meantime, while God is working, we are to thank Him for all that He has done and all that He will do. Once you give Him something in prayer, if you are going to pray about it again, just thank Him that He has it covered.
You are not reminding Him of your request because He already knows. You are reminding yourself in prayer that God has it. If you are going to unleash anxiety in your life, pray about it. Give it to Him once, and then thank him that He has control over it in your life.

May I be obedient and trusting more about my anxieties. And to be more thankful for what God is doing in my life ðŸ™
This message on anxiety was a blessing to me this morning. Thank you Dr. Dodd.
This message, unfortunately, is a bunch of legalistic junk! It reeks of legalism! I thought better of you!
Great reminder! God is in control.
Anxiety is a plague we All face. Look to GOD and His Word for Relief. God only can rescue Us from Anxiety if We Allow and Trust The FATHER !
