The Responsibility Of A Christian Parent
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. – Proverbs 22:6
The greatest responsibility parents have is to pass on the faith to their children. It is first the parents’ job, not the church's job, to disciple children and teach them how to follow Jesus. The church is there to help, yes. But first and foremost, it is our job as parents to pass the faith along to our kids.
Now, it is important to keep in mind that you cannot save your kids. You are not responsible for whether they embrace Christ or not. Rather, you are responsible for teaching the Word of God in such a way that your lifestyle makes it attractive. They should want what you have and what you believe based on how you model Christianity for them.
The influence of my mom and some of the things she taught me will always stay in my mind. I can’t get rid of them. I remember things my mom would say. I remember the way she acted and the way she treated people. And I remember what she believed. She had a strong love for Christ. She encouraged me to stay in the Word and be faithful to Jesus. I can still hear her words in my mind. Her influence has stuck with me all these years.
With that in mind, I’d encourage you not to discount your responsibility and influence when it comes to your kids. You have the opportunity to make an incredible impact on their walk with Christ if you choose to obediently steward the responsibility of teaching them how to follow Jesus. I hope and pray you’ll take hold of that responsibility with boldness, wisdom, and love.

I keep striving to be a godly example for my 2 boys. My mother was a Christian and took us to church and Sunday School so that we could learn about Jesus. The love Jesus has for me is one of the first things I learned when I was 4 years old. I am very thankful I had her as my mother.
My Goal is to be a better example to My LOVED , Each Day as I follow The Holy Spirit's Love and Guidance. Thank YOU !
Thank you in Jesus' name!
