This World Is Not Your Home
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
With so many wonderful, exciting, and beautiful things to experience on earth, it can be very easy to forget that we will not be on this planet forever. In fact, only a small percentage of our existence will be spent here on earth. James instructs us,
Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. (James 4:14)
Our earthly lives are just a small brush stroke in the grand scheme of God’s eternal masterpiece. Unfortunately, many of us live like this is the only place there will ever be. Your life has been given to you to glorify God for as long as you are here on this earth. He wants you to use everything for His glory. If you are a follower of Christ, the Bible promises that you will spend eternity in heaven.
One day when we are in heaven, we will look back on our earthly existence and think, “Why were we so worried all of the time? Why did we live so encumbered by the things of this world and the desires of this world, rather than living for Christ?”
It is critical for us to understand that we need to prepare for the next life while on earth. We must prepare today for spending eternity in heaven. How are you managing your priorities? How are you using your gifts and talents to bring glory to God. I pray that you will take the time to answer these questions as you expectantly look forward to spending eternity in heaven with your Savior.

I am using my talents for the Lord. I will follow Jesus to do what He expects of me. I know He will direct my path
I need to keep reminding myself this. This world is definitely NOT our home. It is very corrupted, evil, anguish, nonsense, utter foolishness, and the works all wrapped in one. I have been struggling so much in my walk with Jesus. I feel like a disappointment with Him. Although, last night in my prayer, I asked Him for forgiveness and the Holy Spirit to keep me afloat in my walk. Spiritual Warfare is at an all time high. Satan is doing his uttermost best to drag us all down. We must keep the battle afloat with Jesus at the focal point of our warfare. We must remember Jesus defeated Satan all the way.
I'm guilty of stumbling from time to time. Thank God, The Holy Spirit helps me get Up. I Love God and Praise Jesus for Salvation, Thank You Father !
