Balancing Truth and Love
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness. – 2 Timothy 3:16
As children of God, we often find ourselves trying to find the balance between love and truth, especially when confronted with situations where maybe a friend is living contrary to God's Word. Our first reaction might be to show empathy, wanting to support them in their choices out of love and compassion. But, we must remember that our allegiance lies first and foremost with God and His truth.
Choosing to shape our beliefs based on the actions of others, even those we care deeply for, is a slippery slope that can lead us away from the path of righteousness. While it may seem loving to affirm someone's behavior, if it contradicts God's Word, it's a dangerous compromise.
The problem lies in us not wanting to offend others, even at the cost of offending God. But as followers of Christ, our loyalty must be unwaveringly anchored in His Word. We cannot prioritize the comfort of others over the truth of God's commands.
Instead, we are called to stand firmly on the Word of God, even if it means facing the discomfort of confrontation or disagreement. Our allegiance to God's truth should outweigh our desire to please others.
It is absolutely critical for us, as children of God, to align our beliefs and actions with the Word of God in total balance. This means loving others well while also remaining steadfast in our commitment to God's truth. So with this in mind, let us not be swayed by the shifting sands of human opinion but rooted firmly in the unchanging truth of God's Word.

This is a difficult feat in today's society.
My grandchildren have a much different set of values than I do and we disagree on the relaxed attitude of today's culture.
I believe that we can show love and kindness to a person, not the sin they live in.
My grandchildren think I am old fashioned.
I have explained it is in the word of the Bible, which comes from God, and it applies today!
I am at an age where I don't care to live the world's way. It is so mixed up anyway. I love to live God's way and what the Bible teaches us. I like living in love. Those that say that I am old fashioned don't know what real love is

I'm learning more and more to speak the Truth in love and pray about everything. God is faithful and just to bring about His will on earth as it is in heaven. Let's don't let the Devil tell us otherwise. Thank You, Lord Jesus. Amen. ðŸ™
