God Is With You In Your Anxiety
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)
Sometimes, when we’re struggling with anxiety, we feel very lonely. We think we are all by ourselves. But all throughout Scripture we are reassured time and time again that God will never leave us once we give our lives to Christ.
The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit comes to indwell you, and you will never lose His presence. You may not feel His presence, but God does not want you to live by emotions. Even though you don't feel Him in difficult times, that doesn't mean that He is not there.
He is near. He will never leave you nor forsake you. You can't do anything to drive the presence of God away from you. He is near, and He is living inside of you. In fact, John wrote in 1 John 4, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)
“Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.” What an amazing statement we can cling to! You need to remember that He lives inside of you. He doesn't live inside you because you feel that He is living inside you. He lives inside you because the Word of God says He does! Therefore, we need to know that He is right with us, even in (and especially in) the midst of our anxiety.
