Choose To Stay Faithful
Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life. (Revelation 2:10)
Without a doubt, difficult seasons will come in your life. You cannot avoid them. You might face seasons that are difficult physically, financially, relationally, or even spiritually. When you do, you will have a tendency to wonder, “God, what are you up to? Why have you allowed this to happen? What is your agenda? What is your plan?” When you are experiencing a difficult season in your life, you need to realize that God has a plan for your life, in the midst of that difficult period.
Remember, John was going through a difficult season on the Island of Patmos. He was in his later years, and he was totally separated from everyone. He literally could have said, “Okay, I'm done. I'm done. God, if this is how you're going to treat me as your child, I'm done. Instead of being blessed, I seem to be cursed.”
That was not his perspective, and he chose to remain faithful. Let me remind you of something that is very, very powerful here. Do you realize that this difficult situation in John's life positioned him to be at the right time, in the right place, and in the right position personally, to be able to receive and write? Because he was isolated, he could hear from God without any distractions. While he was isolated alone on this island, he had time to write. If he had not gone through this difficult situation, we may have never received the Book of Revelation.
Please apply this to your life. Maybe you are experiencing a difficult time right now in this season of your life. There will be moments in your life when you will go through periods that you don't understand. You will wonder what God is doing and it won’t make any sense. In these situations, God will often do more in your life than He has done up until that time. Trust Him and choose to remain faithful, even in the difficult seasons of life.

Jesus never ever puts sickness, disease or physical pain on His own kids just to teach them a lesson. Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law
@Stephen- This is not what God teaches and someone who does not know, may believe that God does not correct His children. How God inserts His will in our lives is known only to Him. Romans 11:34-36 NKJV - "For who has known the mind of the LORD? Or who has become His counselor?" "Or who has first given to Him
nAnd it shall be repaid to him?" For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen. And still more God has to say about His sovereign will over all things -Romans 1:18-32, 8:18-39.

I agree, Steve. By His stripes we are healed. Disease & sickness is from what we put into our bodies. Father God chastises us but He does not kill us. The thief comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy

Staying faithful and not becoming upset, sad or angry is important. Many of life's trials and tribulations are inevitable. We must continue to pray and trust in our Heavenly Father to walk alongside us. Daily prayer along with studying the Word of God is essential in our spiritual journey.
Sometimes God allows us to go through difficult times and illnesses to see if we will still be faithful to Him. He loves us enough to chastise us when we stray
