The Power of the Cross
When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. (Colossians 2:13-14)
In that moment when you gave your life to Christ, something happened. Everything that you have ever done, all sins which you have ever committed in the past, present or future are eliminated! God took all of those sins, every documentation of those sins, and placed them on the cross. They were nailed there. God chose to use the horrible death of His Son Jesus Christ to pay a price that you and I could never pay. Accordingly, refusing such a gift invites the very wrath of God!
You see, the cross makes us right with God. When we are right with God, something else happens. We will become right with our families. Our relationships will begin to flow because we have experienced the love of God and, therefore, communication will be improved. We will begin to reach out as never before and long for flowing relationships in all directions. In fact, once you meet Jesus, the boundary lines change on denominationalism and all agendas. You develop a love for those who love Christ. Why? Because the love of God is in you and through you, and in them and through them; and it connects with you.
The hope of world peace is only in Christ, in Christ alone! The world’s people will never find themselves on the same page for very long, without the One who made the page. To buy into the agenda of desiring world peace without the “World Changer” is nothing more than foolish, arrogant thinking! If God could change you, there is hope for all people. That hope begins at the cross! So, go out and tell someone, today!
