Have You Been Saved?
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
Has there ever been a time in your life when you have turned from your sin and placed your faith in Jesus Christ? You might say, “I joined the church, was confirmed and was baptized at 12.” I didn't ask that.
Has there been a moment in your life when you have acknowledged your sin and realized that you deserved to go to hell? You threw yourself helplessly and hopelessly on the mercies of God; and you thanked Jesus for dying for you on the cross and shedding His blood to cover all your sins. You invited Him to take control of your life. Has there been a moment like that in your life?
If not, don't think that taking communion, being baptized, or joining a church will get you to heaven. Many people will miss heaven by about 12 inches, the distance between their head and their heart. They might have given their head, but they have never given their heart and all of their life to Christ. They know about Jesus, but there has never been repentance and brokenness in their heart. They haven’t placed all of their faith in Christ.
Don’t wait until it’s too late to realize your need for a Savior. I pray that if you have never made the decision to follow Jesus and surrender your life to Him, that today would be the day you step up in obedience and make that decision. All you have to do is talk to your Heavenly Father. Confess that you are a sinner and that you need a Savior. Tell Him you no longer want to live for what you want, but you want to live for what He desires for you. Surrender it all to Him by denying yourself and, as you make this decision, the Lord will welcome you into His family.

I had accepted Jesus as my Savior when I was 11 years old but I didn't give Him my heart and life until I was 43 years old. I thought I would have to give up having a fun and fulfilling life if I gave all of me to Jesus. The very opposite turned out to be true. I have had a more fulfilling life ever since I gave Jesus my heart and whole life to Him. I want everyone to know how much Jesus loves each one of us
