A Life Of Submission
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. – James 4:7
Living in submission like Jesus means you leave all things to the Judge. That is what Jesus did. He knew God had a plan. He knew that God was in control.
God reigned during Jesus’ time on earth, and he is still reigning today. Therefore, it's okay for you to submit to Him. When you choose the path of submission, you are ultimately saying, “God, you are in charge.”
Whenever we find ourselves in situations that seem difficult, painful, or frustrating, we want to take matters into our own hands. We want to be in charge so that we can make things better the way we see fit. But that is not what it looks like to live in submission to God. Living submissively means that whether God heals your body or uses your sickness to bring glory to Him, He is still in charge. It means that even if He allows you to be in a marriage that needs a lot of work, when you submit, you are allowing God to work out your story the way He thinks is best.
With many of us, we want the story to be completed right now, and we don't like to submit, because we want what we want right now. We turn into runners and quitters, and we don't allow God to bring the healing that is required. But ultimately, if we’re going to experience the healing, restoration, and redemption we’re hoping for, we have to submit to God and His plan. After all, submission is key to a holy, God-honor life. And isn’t that the kind of life we all want to live?

When I became born again I gave Jesus my whole life. God certainly doesn't do things the way I would expect. But I know His ways are better. He loves me so
