Don’t Shy Away From Shedding Tears
You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book? – Psalm 56:8
When is the last time you shed tears and shared them with other people? You didn't do it for an act; they just came. Tears say, “I care.” Don't think that the Christian life has to be lived without tears. Don't think that for a moment. Tears are very important. As one person said, “Tears are the words that the heart cannot share.” God allows us to share that brokenness.
Sadly, I don’t think we realize how disconnected we are spiritually from the things of God, and from the people of God. With many of us, we would rather embrace hardness than embrace tears. That is a real problem.
When is the last time you wept? We are missing something when we don’t weep. We really are. I am an encourager. I love to encourage people. I love for people to laugh. I love for there to be celebrations. However, the real breakthroughs happen in our lives, not because we celebrate, but because we are broken, and we have been bruised. We are crying out for God's help for ourselves, and for the people we love. If you are not there, you become hard, and hardness describes a disconnection.
I would rather write about the three steps to becoming happy, but I can't. Not today. Instead, I want my heart to be seen, and if so be it, also my tears. Maybe we need to acknowledge that we are not broken over our sin, and we need to be in tears over our lack of brokenness. We are so self-absorbed that we have forgotten to even look at how broken our world is. We need to be a fellowship of tears.

Everyday with every person I meet I experience cold-heartedness. People are so full of themselves there's no room for Jesus, no room for love. It's like they're non-responsive, non-emotional, unable to give, unable to talk, unable to express themselves. The other day I was walking down the street and a gentleman in a truck passed by me, I looked at him straight in the eye and waved and he looked away and this isn't the first time that's happened. He's so full of hate, I believe, he can't even muster up a wave to a stranger. It's very sad. This evil and what it produces is playing out all over the world, we see and hear it every day, and it teaches our youth its dark way. I pray for all those with hard hearts who have lost their sense of humor who don't care and refuse to communicate, may God find them or may they find God. Nothing really has changed over time we need to learn the truth of Jesus or fall to the evil lies of mankind. God has been shunned from our society for so many decades, I also pray that people come back to the truth of the good Lord. I hope that whoever reads this will pray with me and pass along the same sentiment wherever they can and whenever they can. May the peace and love of God be with you.
Thank you, Pastor Dodd for that reminder and Jeff for your response! Praying with you all for God's mercy and grace in the days we are living. I am reminded 1 Cor 13:13 Faith Hope and Love is the greatest. Love is a choice and not a feeling. Love never fails. We continue to serve and love others even if they do not respond and we pray that the lovingkindness of the Lord will draw men to repentance. We can get hardness of heart if we stay in our hurt . We have to put all hurt feelings and ugliness behind us and walk in the love of the Lord and ask for forgiveness when we hurt others. It is a daily cleansing and staying humble. Help us, Lord in Jesus name. Amen. ?
