The Joy That Won’t Stay Quiet
"All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them." (Acts 2:4)
Why don't more believers share their faith? Here's an alarming statistic that keeps me up at night: 9 out of 10 believers never share Christ with another person and win them to Jesus. Think about that for a moment. We've tried programs, apologetics training, and guilt-driven sermons, but the numbers haven't changed.
I think I know why. It's not a lack of information—it's a lack of the Holy Spirit's fullness in our lives.
When I accepted Christ at 12 years old, I couldn't help myself. I grabbed 25 little New Testament Bibles from our church, marked them up with yellow highlighters, and created a simple path through the Gospel. I gave them to every friend I had. Twelve of those friends came to faith in Christ!
You see, when the presence of Jesus is thick in your life, when you're filled with His Spirit, the first thing that happens is you want to talk about Jesus. Not just God—Jesus. The Holy Spirit's job is to point people to Christ, and when He fills us, that's exactly what we do.
Here's my question for you today: When was the last time you had a spiritual conversation with someone about Jesus? I'm not asking this to shame you, but to stir something in your heart. If talking about Jesus makes you uncomfortable, ask the Lord why. He'll show you how.
The joy of your salvation isn't meant to be contained. When you truly know Jesus, you want others to have what you have, to know Who you know. That's the mark of an Acts 2 believer—they simply can't stay quiet about Jesus.

I have been ridiculed, yelled at and felt unprepared to witness to others. I have come up to people that profess their religion to draw people away from accepting Jesus when I am witnessing. Plus I have been an introvert most of my life Those are some of my excuses. I am recently brushing up on witnessing to others. I am surrounded by the unsaved. I don't want anyone to not hear the salvation plan.
