Are You Thirsty?
For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
The problem in our country is that we are not thirsty enough. How long will it take for us to realize how dry we are? The moment we come to that dryness and cry out, “Oh, Jesus, save me, help me, change me, make me yours,” that's when we will feel and sense the life-giving water of the River of Life flowing through each and every one of us.
Do you consider yourself thirsty right now? Are you feeling unsatisfied, lacking, or like you are missing something? Only Jesus Christ, the Living Water, can quench your thirst. Only He can satisfy you. Only He can meet your every need. You must first admit that you are thirsty and that you need Him.
I pray that you know Jesus. I am sure you have heard the Gospel many times. It is one thing to hear the Gospel and actually understand the facts of the Gospel. It is another thing to receive Jesus as Lord of your life and respond to the Gospel. Jesus said, “No one can come unto Me, unless the Father who sent Me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.” (John 6:44)
If you have never sensed that drawing of the Spirit of God and you do today, I pray that you would respond to Christ, without any doubt, and without any hesitation. Don't try to figure it out; just respond to the tug of the Spirit of God. I pray that you would become more than informational, factoid, treasure hunters. Too many people want information, but not transformation. Instead, you need to change with the transforming power of the Spirit of God. I pray that today, if God is walking by the front door of your heart, you would say, “Yes!”
