Biblical Decision-Making
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? (Jeremiah 17:9)
Many people just make their decisions based on what they feel. If they feel it’s right, they do it. Or, if their friends feel like it's okay, they do it. They make their decisions based upon if it feels good, and if everyone else is doing it.
If you are making your decisions without them being biblically rooted, it is time to make a change. Many Christians justify their lifestyle by looking at their friends and what they are doing, even if their lifestyle is anti-biblical.
Today, many couples are living together before they get married. They think it is okay as long as they love each other. After all, everyone lives together. Do you know this is called “adultery?” I don't want to just pick on this sin. Do you understand that homosexuality is a sin against God? God loves everyone. He loves people who struggle with sin. However, He doesn’t want you to remain living in sin. He wants you to value His Word and His plan for you instead of what feels good to you.
That is why He sent Jesus to die on the cross. If you are a full-blown follower of Jesus, your decision-making needs to be biblically rooted. If it is not, you need to make a change. If you are making decisions based solely on your feelings, you are disengaged from God’s plan for you. God wants you to get in the battle and make decisions based on what His Word says.
