Jesus Is the Only Way
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
Over and over again in Scripture, Jesus describes the exclusive way for us to get to the Father. That way is through Jesus Christ and Jesus alone; there is no other way. Jesus makes this very clear when He says, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Unfortunately, many people try to convince us that there are multiple ways to spend eternity in heaven. They tell us if you are good enough, you will get into heaven. Some say if you follow a certain set of rules and rituals, you will enter heaven. Others even indicate if you sacrifice your own life, you will make it into heaven. None of those ways are true! The only true way we can have a relationship with the Father and spend eternity with Him is to place our faith in Jesus, and obtain His saving work on the cross.
Have you questioned why a loving God would be so stringent that He would allow only one way to spend eternity in heaven with Him? If you have, I encourage you to spend time in His Word to see all that He has to say about the way to Him. He makes it very clear throughout Scripture that Jesus has made a way for you.
Jesus is the bridge that crosses over the chasm between us and the Father, and there is no other way we can possibly cross that gap. Regardless of what anyone tries to tell you, there is only one way; and His name is Jesus!
