Don’t Let Your Love Grow Cold
“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.” (Matthew 24:9-12)
In Matthew Chapter 24, Jesus was talking to His disciples about what the world was going to be like leading up to His Second Coming. We will focus on a few particular verses today to make it very clear that the time of Jesus’ return is coming soon. At one point in His description, Jesus talked about how wickedness and evil will increase in many people.
As many of us read this verse, we can think about people who have turned away from their faith, who have been hateful toward others, or whose love has grown cold. It is so disheartening to see how hatred is increasing and love is decreasing in our society. As followers of Christ, we cannot allow our love to grow cold like the rest of the world.
Jesus Himself said, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35) As Christians, we are supposed to be known by our love for others. We are called to love others like Jesus loves us, selflessly, sacrificially, and unconditionally. With Jesus’ return drawing near, there is no time like the present to show this kind of love to the people around you in hopes of leading them to Christ.
Is there something you can do today to show love to another person, someone who has turned his back on his faith, or who has been hateful to you? Can you be a light for Jesus to this person? I hope and pray you will love that person and not allow your love to grow cold.

I agree that there is so much hatred and violence in our world. If everyone followed the teaching of our Lord and Savior and showed love and kindness to others, it would be a much better world. I agree with you that Christ is coming soon.
We as Christians need to be showing love and forgiveness to this world. People don't understand anything other than hatred and violence. May I show the love of Jesus this day to others.
Praying for GOD'S spiritual wisdom and guidance to move the speak truth in Love to family and friends to turning to Jesus
I Love JESUS and I Praise GOD for Grace and Mercy. GLORY TO The Creator, Our Father !
