God’s Word Is Our Authority
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16)
As followers of Jesus, we need to live in a way that shows our directive comes from the Bible. Our beliefs are biblically rooted and the Bible is our Authority! If we have a question about what to do, how to think, or where to go; our first question should be, “What does the Bible say?”
We cannot be concerned about what our friends or culture think. Instead, what does the Bible say? When our culture is headed in the wrong direction, we must not be like dead logs, floating down a stream. We should not go along with the lies that are publicized, promoted, and embraced by an entire culture with wrong motives. In reality, our culture cannot tell the truth from a lie. How can you determine the truth? The Word of God. The real question is: What does the Bible have to say?
There are numerous churches today full of false prophets and false teachers. They are teaching things that are just the opposite from the Word of God. Many people are listening, absorbing, and embracing that because it makes them feel warm and fuzzy. They say, “After all, God is love.” Please understand that God is holy and He wants us to live holy lives and to align with the Word of God.
Are you aligning your life with the Word of God, or with what the culture and community are saying? To align your life with the Word, you must spend time in the Word of God.
Accordingly, I pray that you are carving out time each day to read the Scriptures and grow in wisdom as you hide God’s Word in your heart.

Enjoyed that devotion this morning
Oh so true! I challenge anyone to turn the tv on and Find anything true, commercials news and etc.
I start every day in the Word of God. I feel half naked if I don't. I love to read God's Word and anticipate what He will say each day
Jesus said it best! But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.' "Matthew 4:4 NKJV
God's Word is our "Moral Compass!!" He's our Guide, Provider, Lord and Savior 🙠!!
