Don’t Stop Sharing The Good News
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20
Have you ever wondered why you exist? Have you found yourself questioning why God put you on this earth? Well, the Bible tells us that we have a purpose; God wants us to share our faith and make disciples. That is our purpose. That is the purpose of every single follower of Christ. Why is that? Jesus tells us Himself:
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
Years ago in our church’s auditorium, I did a funeral service. The church was standing room only. The service was for a young lady who died tragically in a car wreck. During the service, I boldly shared the gospel. I shared with all of the teenagers and all of her friends that they needed to give their life to Christ. I shared that they needed to repent of their sin and place their faith in Jesus so they could live again.
After the service, someone sent me a letter that said, “How dare you take advantage of that moment and tell those students they needed Christ!” I couldn’t believe what I was reading. Sharing the gospel is why we exist as Christians. That's what God wants us to do. Any time you have an opportunity to share the Gospel with someone, you need to tell them that they need Jesus.
Don’t let anyone discourage you. Don’t let anyone make you feel bad for fulfilling your purpose. People need the gospel. People need Jesus. And it’s our responsibility to share the good news with them!

Funerals are a good time to share the gospel. We don't want anyone to die without hearing about Jesus and salvation. May I be obedient to share the gospel with others. There are so many lost.
My husband was 95 and still sharing Jesus when God called him home. He was, like you, passionate about sharing Christ in whatever situation he found himself in. The Truth is never more important to share than at a funeral. Thank you for being faithful.
