Celebrating God’s Forgiveness
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. – Ephesians 4:32
When you’re struggling with forgiving someone who hurt you, one of the best things you can do is practice celebrating God's forgiveness to you. Don't focus on the person who did the offending. Instead, focus on how gracious God has been to you. Even though you deserved the death penalty, He forgave you of all your sins.
When you are in the throes of an unforgiving spirit, it is hard to celebrate God's forgiveness. Your forgiveness is not flowing, and you are stunted. Unforgiveness can keep you from moving forward. And this is where many believers find themselves. They are stuck, and they can't get any traction in their spiritual life because they think God is far away.
They think they are done when they are not. The problem is simply a lack of forgiveness. God promises that He will bring people into your life who will pray for you and never give up on you. He has not given up on you, either. There is still hope for you, regardless of how badly you have blown it.
Maybe you have been a serial offender; you say and do things that hurt people everywhere you go. People in pain usually hurt other people. You just pass that pain along. If that’s you, choose to focus on how much God has forgiven you; maybe that will help you get unstuck.

I try to think of what Jesus has done for me when I am trying to be forgiving. I am a truthful person and have been accused of not being tactful when I say things to others. I have been working on being less blunt throughout the years. I don't like people to think I am too harsh. I want to be more loving like Jesus ðŸ‘
