How To Be An Orderly Church
Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you. – Hebrews 13:17
If we want to be the kind of church and the kind of people that God blesses, we must look to Scripture to understand the characteristics we must exhibit.
From today’s key verse, we learn that the church God blesses is an orderly church, and order starts with strong, trusted leadership. First, an orderly church is confident in its leadership. The people know that their leaders can be trusted to teach God’s Word with integrity, to love the congregation, and to seek God’s direction. Confidence in leadership is key to a healthy church environment. It means that those in leadership are faithful, trustworthy, and guided by God’s wisdom.
But it doesn’t stop there. A blessed church is also following its leadership. Confidence in leadership is important, but action must follow. If no one is willing to follow, leadership is ineffective. As the saying goes, "If you think you're leading and no one is following, you're just taking a walk." True leadership is not about power or authority; it’s about serving others and earning trust. And the congregation responds by walking in step with the direction God is leading through their leaders.
Finally, an orderly church is blessing its leadership. This means the church not only follows but also supports and encourages its leaders. Ministry can be challenging, and when a church blesses its leaders—through prayer, words of encouragement, and active support—it allows them to continue pursuing Jesus wholeheartedly.
Order and peace within a church come from this beautiful relationship: leaders who love and serve, and a congregation that follows and blesses. This is the kind of church God is pleased to bless.

There are times when someone of the congregation may think that another member isn't doing their position correctly so there is dissention. It needs to be addressed to that person so that that person can own up to their obligation so that church can work as one
I love this devotional today. We just got a new young Pastor for our church. Our beloved Pastor passed away almost 2 years ago. We have had a transitional Pastor for the last 14 months. He gave many sermons, especially the closer we got to getting a new Pastor about this very message today.
