Live Medium
So in Christ, we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. - Romans 12:5
As members of the body of Christ, we are designed to be family to each other. Sometimes, the people we lean on the most aren’t our blood relatives but those from our church family—the ones who show up when we’re in need, who pray for us, who help us carry our burdens. In these moments, we experience the beauty of God’s family, bound together not by genes but by the love of Christ.
Chuck Swindoll once wrote about three little girls who formed a club with simple rules: no one should act too big, no one should act too small, and everyone should act “medium.” This story is an important reminder that God desires humility and authenticity in His family. We don’t need to puff ourselves up or diminish ourselves in comparison to others. Instead, we’re called to be genuine, to accept who we are in Christ, and to embrace the gifts and roles He has given us.
In the family of Christ, there’s no need for competition or self-pity. We’re all on this journey together, each of us equipped by God to serve and encourage one another. With this in mind, I want to encourage you to live “medium”—acknowledging your strengths, accepting your weaknesses, and trusting that God is using you, just as you are, to build up His family.

Sometimes I have a hard time realizing that God uses me just as I am. I keep wanting to be more to help further the kingdom of God along. I feel inadequate for some situations. I need to be content to be in the middle
