What Happens When We Truly Worship?
“I rejoiced with those who said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.’” – Psalm 122:1 (NIV)
How do we know when worship has truly captured our hearts?
It begins when we are no longer just listening—we’re actually worshiping. One of the greatest tragedies in this generation is that we’ve become concert-goers. A concert is where performers give their best to move and inspire us. But worship is not a concert. It is a holy moment between you and the Lord.
You can also tell worship has taken hold when those leading no longer feel like they’re carrying the weight of it. Instead of trying to get everyone “into it,” they simply participate. And in doing so, they recognize that only God can invite people to experience true worship. When the Spirit of God grabs someone’s heart, that’s when transformation happens.
In those sacred moments, people with real needs begin to sense that God sees them and cares deeply. He begins to speak to their hearts even before the message is preached. Sometimes in worship, a name or face may come to your mind. That’s not random—that’s the Spirit prompting you to intercede, to care, to act.
Real worship brings a holy hush. There’s awe and reverence as we become aware that God is present and seated on His throne. There’s a shared sense among the people that we are collectively welcoming the Lord into our midst. And with that welcome comes a growing intensity—a hunger for a fresh encounter with Jesus Himself.
Christianity is not just a system of doctrines and facts. It is an experience with a living God. When worship becomes real, you know it. He is there. And you never want to leave.

I could always feel the presence of the Holy Spirit during worship time at Westside. I couldn't get enough. The Holy Spirit leads the worship in the church where I am now,too ?
