It’s Not Too Late
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)
You might be wondering, “Is it too late for my whole family, or one family member to be saved? I know they have never given their life to Christ.” How many of you have a family member on your mind right now? You know they have never accepted Christ. Are you wondering if they can be saved? Is it too late for them? As long as they are living, there is still time.
If the Holy Spirit calls you to pray for them, it is not too late. If you are heavily burdened about some family members that they would get saved, you can be sure they are on God's heart. He wants to save them. As long as they are here before the rapture of the church occurs, there is still time. However, if they passed away before they gave their lives to Christ, it is too late. Likewise, if Jesus comes before someone has given their life to Christ, it is too late.
When the judgment of God falls, the Book of Revelation tells us that people will not suddenly accept the Lord; instead, they will turn away from Him.
This is why it is so important that we seize every opportunity to share our faith with others, particularly those we love. We don’t know when death will come knocking at the door. We don’t know when Jesus will come back. Therefore, we need to have a sense of urgency for spreading the Gospel and telling others about Jesus. Do this before it is too late for them.
Is there someone in your family who doesn’t know Christ yet? Pray right now and ask the Lord to give you the opportunity to share your faith with them. Encourage them to come to Jesus and surrender their life to Him.
