God Speaks to You
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. (John 10:27-28)
Have you wondered how God will speak to you? He addresses you through His Word.
The written Word of the Lord is very important! God speaks to you through His Word. Don’t wait for a special word of knowledge. If you dive into the Word of God, you will find a word of knowledge for your life. The way God speaks to you is through His Word. You need to read it and reread it. Reread the Word of God until you really know it; then you will sense the tug of the Spirit of God on your heart.
As you read the Word of God, read it slowly and read it with meditation. Don't just read it to outline it. You need to read it like it is food, because it is the bread of life! As you read through God’s Word, ask the Lord to speak to you. The Holy Spirit will give you eyes to see and ears to hear. He will not only do that, but He will give you a special sense that the Word is addressed to you. Have you had an experience where you were reading the Word of God, and suddenly the light goes on? It is like the Spirit of God is saying to you, “Hey, child of God, read that again. This one has your name on it.” This is the experience of a child of God. God is speaking to you, not just with information, but with inspiration.
I pray that you will long for this more than any other thing in life. I pray this is the goal of your life. Every single day that you live, I pray that when you wake up in the morning, you will say, “Oh God, I need to hear from you.” As you read the Word of God, it might not be coming to you in bright blinking lights. You will have no doubt that it is just for you today; this is the word that you need to focus on today. However, it might also come in a still small voice, a whisper. In either case, I hope you carve out the time to let the Lord speak to you through His Word, every single day.

Thank you for another beautiful and meaningful devotion. I always look forward to your daily writings.
I start every day in God's Word. I anticipate what He will say to me. I have also heard the still small voice at different times..His Word opens up new every time I read it
Amen. Praise God for His Word. May I hide it in my heart so I do not sin against Him. This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.
