Turn Your Eyes upon Jesus
Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2)
When you line up with the culture, rather than lining up with the Word of God, you will have a hard time seeing Jesus. You might not want to admit that, but it’s the truth. Unfortunately, many of you have fallen into the trap of trying to make God align with your culture and society, rather than having your lives align with God’s will.
If you aren’t aligned with the truth of God’s Word, you will paint God in the pictures and colors which make you feel good. You don’t need validation of your decisions; you need healing from the inside out. You need your brokenness to be mended.
Maybe today, God is drawing you in to watch, to listen, and to experience all that He has in store for your life. Today I pray that you would open your eyes and see Jesus.
Years ago, we used to sing a song that said:
“Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.”
I won’t invite you to sing it; I just want you to live it!
Regardless of what is happening in your life, the struggles that you may be experiencing, the confusion that is in your mind, or how tall the mountain is in front of you, turn your eyes upon Jesus! He is the only One who can take your broken life and mend it. You need Jesus! I pray that today you would turn your eyes upon Him!

Lord, help us !! Our world, with it's temptations and corruption, is constantly tugging at us to pull us away from You. Lord, help us remember, repent and return to You ... our Savior, Redeemer and Lord of our lives. You alone are our Salvation, The Lord of our lives!!
Thank you, Dr. Dobbs. I am also reminded that we need to turn our eyes on Jesus rather than what is going on in the world and all of the "news of the day" in politics and otherwise. Some of it and most of it may not even be true. God's Word is Truth and we shall worship in Spirit and Truth the Lord says. I am learning by God's grace to take every thought captive and bring it under the submission of the Lord and praying over everything that makes me anxious and to fix my eyes on Jesus when I am afraid or disturbed of all that surrounds us in this world. I ask Him to help me focus on the people around me that He has placed in my path and to be a witness of His love and mercy and to pray for lost souls to the glory of God. Amen.
I turn to Jesus all the time. I can see the Fallon people all around me. It is sad what people think will make them feel better. I turn to Jesus whenever I think I am being drawn into the world's way of thinking.

This is a powerful message for today's Christians. Price of the cross for our salvation through faith and His Grace. No, turning back no turning back it's time to stand up and let the world know you have decided to follow Jesus. There is a price to follow Christ and it's full of his grace and mercy. ðŸ™ðŸ™ðŸ’ª
