Be Ready
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. (Matthew 24:36)
Jesus talks more than once in Scripture about people not being ready for His return. That’s why it is so important that we are ready for Jesus to come back. You need to make sure that you know Jesus Christ as Lord of your life.
By the way, this is not a denominational thing. Some of us are more consumed with being in a denomination than we are with following Jesus. People say, “I'm Catholic, I'm Lutheran, I'm Presbyterian, I'm Episcopalian, I'm Baptist, I’m Church of Christ, I'm Charismatic, or I'm Non-denominational.” I love saying, “Those denominational tags will either burn off or fall off. You are not going to take them to heaven, and no one will be wearing them in hell!”
We need to make sure that we are ready to go when Jesus comes. If you have never turned from your sin and placed your faith in Christ, you are not ready! You might say, “I got baptized. I got sprinkled. I got dunked.” This is not about water; it has nothing to do with water. This is a transformation of your heart and commitment to Jesus Christ.
Has that happened to you? Has there been a born-again experience in your life? Using another church phrase, “Have you been saved?” This is the opposite of being lost. Have you actually had an encounter with Jesus Christ personally? This is not where you took a course; rather, it is where you personally invited Jesus to come inside your life and be the Lord of your life. Have you turned from your wickedness? Have you done that? Can you remember when you did that? Is this real in your life? Be ready! He is coming soon!

I accepted Jesus as my Savior when I was 11yrs old. But, I still lived my life the way I wanted to. Then one time I realized that I needed to give my life to Jesus. I confessed my sin and asked Him to come into my heart so that I could live my life for Him. I was 44yrs old and driving in my car at that time. I have been excited for Jesus ever since
Lord teach they ways that I will run into the arms of Jesus. That your name oh Lord is the first name off my lips when I arise in the morning and the name on lips at nights. Lord I am hungry for more of you
