I Am Innocent
When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. “I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said, “It is your responsibility!” (Matthew 27:24)
Pilate’s responsibility to his Roman government was to keep the peace in the region. That was his job. However, he would actually wash his hands of Jesus’ case and surrender Him to the wishes of a loud mob. There was no way he could fail to take a stand. Not taking a stand for justice and truth in this case was passivity in practice. By his actions and lack of actions, he was aligned with evil. This happens every time and in every generation.
Can someone really declare their innocence in the blood of Christ? Can any of us excuse our lack of engagement with Jesus because we don’t want to be involved, and remain innocent before God? Of course not! We are all guilty because of our sin. It was our sin which brought the Savior to this world. Out of His love for us, God, desiring an intimate relationship with us, sent His Son to redeem us from our sins. Jesus shed His innocent blood on the cross to pay the price for our atrocious sins!
You can declare your innocence, but that doesn’t make it true! You do not have the authority to absolve yourself of your sin; only God can do that. Pilate washed his hands publicly before the crowd that day to declare his innocence. The one who will truly experience cleansing is the one who raises their hand and says, “I am guilty! I am sinful! Thank you, Jesus for dying for me!” For it is only in Christ, that God sees us completely innocent. Celebrate that today!

I am guilty I am sinful. I thank You, Jesus for dying on the cross for me.
We will "all" answer one day for our actions and our response ... it would be best to settle that question today. Jesus is the correct answer 🙠... He Always has been and Always will be !!
I am guilty of all my sins, only Jesus can save me, and I accept that with gratitude.
I'm guilty of My sin and I thank God every Day for His Love and Mercy . I Believe that Jesus has paid for our sins. It is GOD's Will that We Trust in Jesus for Salvation ! Thank You Father
Praising God for saving me from myself and my sin through Christ Jesus's shed blood. I've been washed clean through the blood of the Lamb who now sees me as innocent and declared righteous to the glory of God our Father. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving me. Help me Holy Spirit to glorify You each day and be sensitive to your calling and be willing to say Yes to Your prompting in Jesus name. Amen.
