The Purpose of Your Pain
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
Are you going through a difficult season right now? Did something unexpected happen, leaving you disappointed and confused? Did someone close to you cause you pain? We all go through times like this, seasons full of hurt, frustration, bitterness, and disappointment.
There are several reasons why you could be going through this particular time. Maybe, God is developing your resilience and perseverance. He could be strengthening your trust in Him. He might be removing something from your life to make room for someone or something much better down the road. Any of these reasons for your painful season might be true. Have you considered that the reason might extend beyond yourself?
In 2 Corinthians, Paul is not only reminding followers of Jesus about the comfort we can find in Christ, but He is also encouraging us to demonstrate that comfort to others. Possibly, they are going through the same difficulties we have experienced.
Maybe God is allowing you to go through a season of sadness, difficulty, or being squeezed so that you can experience His comfort. He could be giving you an opportunity to pour into someone else as they are walking through similar circumstances. In other words, your pain is equipping you to encourage other people.
Your greatest tragedy could become your greatest ministry. You could allow this season to take you down, or you could let God use this period to help someone else get up. Don’t waste this season, regardless of how painful it might be. You never know what kind of impact the Lord could make through you in the lives of the people around you.

Matthew 8:16-17. He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. What He bore i should not bear. He has redeemed me from the curse of the law, sickness and disease.
I have had different experiences that there would be someone who needed a word of encouragement to get them through the agony. That there is an upside. To look to Jesus to see you through it
