Wait in Silence
Be still and know that I am God.
(Psalm 46:10)
We don't like silence and we don't do very well with silence. Have you noticed that we try to fill silence with activity? It is important for us to realize that there are times when we need to be quiet.
This happens to many of us. When there is silence and God doesn't move, we do something. When in doubt, do something. Like Simon Peter, when there is silence, we start talking. Unfortunately, we end up putting our feet into our mouth. When there is silence, we need to wait. If you haven't seen God moving in your life, this is not the time to be busy; it is the time to wait on Him.
Maybe you need to pray as never before. Seek the Father. When heaven is silent, wait; God's timing is always perfect. We need to understand that He is moving. He is moving even in the midst of silence. The time in which we are living right now is epic. I believe we will be the generation who sees Jesus' return. As I look at what is happening globally and spiritually, I have to take a step back and say something is happening. We have had almost 60 years of silence from God upon our country spiritually. I long to see Him move, and I hope you long for that, as well.
Even in the silence, I pray that we will wait expectantly for God to move and to work. We should never expect to understand and see all that God is doing behind the scenes. When there is apparent silence in our midst, I pray we will be patient for God to reveal His work and His plan for us. We should be patient rather than trying to fill the silence with our “busyness” and problem solving.

I understand that silence. God does seem to be silent a lot.I pray for guidance each day, to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to follow Jesus.
I agree 100% with Pastor . I find that I am not sure on what specifically to pray. The WHOLE WORLD is in such a mess because it is FALLEN...... it is a FALLEN WORLD . And they need Jesus . So I continually pray " God's kingdom come, God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven ". For I do not know if what I am seeing is a result of of someone's sin collapsing in on them and this is the results of it. And often there is fallout which spreads onto the surrounding area / people. Sin hurts. And sometimes people will turn to God and repent which is God's desire. I hope this makes sense. ??
