Praying for Unbelievers
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)
Let me ask you some questions. Are you concerned about some of your family members who do not know Christ? Are you burdened about your children? Students, are you concerned about the spiritual condition of the people in your school? Do you care about your teachers who have never had an encounter with Christ?
It can be easy to walk through life distracted by our own problems, desires, and goals. We must be careful not to get so preoccupied with ourselves that we lose our concern for those around us who have not yet accepted Christ as their Savior.
The greatest burden upon our hearts should not be what we don't have, but rather what others don't have that will make a difference in eternity. Jesus always prayed for the salvation of other people, and we should make it a priority to do the same.
Knowing this, can you name some people who need your prayers for salvation? I encourage you to write the names of those people down somewhere so that you can see these names every day; and make it a habit to pray that the Lord would prick their hearts and draw them to Himself. You never know how your prayers could play a part in altering someone’s destiny. Start praying today!

please pray for my husband and 2 daughters. They refuse to accept Christ as their Savior, I pray for them day and night. Thank you.
I am surrounded by unsaved people. I have started praying for them. They think I am the one who needs peace. They don't know what real peace is about. And family members who are floundering. There is still a lot to do. I will keep praying ðŸ™
Great message. Betty Jane, your comments touch me DAILY. Literally, I am always anxious to read what you write every day. God sees you and you're inspiring people just like me with your comments. God be with you and thank you Betty Jane!!!
I'm so grateful for those that I don't even know about that prayed for me. I shutter to think the outcome of my life without those prayers. I praise God for them all and praise God that Jesus intercedes for me everyday. Thank You, Lord. We should never stop praying for those that the Lord has put in our midst and for lost souls all around. Lord Jesus, save the world You came to save, Amen.
